Although I have had some great bowls of Starbuzz, Social Smoke would have to take my vote. I love how Starbuzz makes their product, and how wet it is right out of the tin but how they stay above water financially is seriously questioning.
The hookah bar close to my house uses Social Smoke and they have made flawless experiences for my friends and me all the time. The favors are crisp, accurate and delicious. I will be smoking Social Smoke more often in the future.
Starbuzz has some of the best tobacco I have ever had. However they also can be hit or miss. Social Smoke well doesn’t have quite the highs it has none of the lows. So as a general statement I would have to go with Social Smoke for consistency of flavor.
i prefer starbuzz.
Thank you all for the comments. Check out next week’s contest blog post to find out who won the contest.
Starbuzz vs social smoke?? Hands down to starbuzz. Starbuzz has a very nice consistent smoke throughout their flavors. Producing thick clouds that explode with flavor is just one of the amazing things that blow social smoke out fo the water. Social smoke is really hit or miss on a bunch of flavor and usually does not smoke as well. Price wise i buy starbuzz for about the same as social smoke (usually 15-16.99 per 250g). Starbuzz is very juicy but not too juicy as fantasia. Starbuzz also has a much larger variety in flavors, as well as the new lines such as BOLD and ACID. Starbuzz just likes to say, “Anything you can do i can do better!”.
Starbuzz is definitely a good tobacco. I don’t agree with you about Social Smoke though. I think Social Smoke actually has a number of really good flavors that blow Starbuzz out of the way too. Starbuzz has flavors that are much better than Social Smoke equivalent of them too.
I prefer starbuzz but simply because it is easier to obtain at local shops and it was my first tobacco. Social smoke is almost equal to the quality of starbuzz just not as easy to get my hands on.
Well I’d say the best judge would have to be my wallet on this one. I find I buy Social Smoke way more often than Starbuzz. The main reason is simple, and the best complement a consumer can give.
I have yet to have a bad smoke with Social Smoke. Sure in the earliest days of my hookah smoking I had some miss fires. To much shisha. To little water. All the little bumps along the way. Sure they have some odd flavor names like “tigers’ blood” though the refernce is cool enough on it’s own it’s a solid flavor. Starbuzz has some odd tastes out there with equaly odd titles, but few ever make me take the plunge. On name and smell alone I have to purchase my shisha. If online then just name, or rather that and some stranger’s review. Now I do love reviews from a single source, like this site for example, you get to know the smoker and thus compare their tastes to yours.
So really from my purchases sure Social Smoke is a little lighter on flavor with a really touchy smoke thickness, but Starbuzz is all over the place from overpowering, to weak, and anywhere from thick to rainforest cloud smoke.
This, to me, is a contest of consistancy. One that Social Smoke wins everytime.
