Not getting any smoke....

Question

Guest ChaCha

Hey all. Newbie here - I am in the process of quitting smoking so I am not using tobacco blends. I am using herbal smoke blends. I get a big puff of smoke when I first light the charcoal and take a drag but no more smoke after that. I have tried tobacco blends before and always got smoke from those. I looked at the ingredients in the tobacco blends and see that there is molasses and glycerin. Is it one of those ingredients that makes it smoke? Because I think I can buy glycerin and add to my blend. Thoughts?

Big thanks from New Jersey!

Yes! Glycerin makes the smoke.... No worries man. Its all about practice and feel in out your shisha, bowl packing, and hookah action. It will come....

It sounds like you might be frying your "shisha" with too much heat right at the beginning and burning it. You shouldn't get smoke the second the coals go on the bowl. It should take a little time to warm up and start smoking evenly
