Voodoo Sinful Strawberry

[brand] - [Flavor]: Voodoo Sinful Strawberry Amount Purchased: 50g How is it Packaged: Tin can and a single, thin plastic bag. First Impression Smell: Perfect strawberry smell. Not candied and not artificial. Shisha Feel: Look and feel of social smoke or Starbuzz tobacco, but very juicy like fumari or more so. Bowl: Sahara Vortex Foil: Social Smoke Heavy Duty Wind Cover: Social Smoke tall wind cover Type of Coals and Amount: 3 Starlights extra large Clouds: HUGE, I call them "The Dragon" Buzz: None Flavor: Strawberry with nothing else added to it. Overall Impression: I couldn't smoke this one the night that I purchased it as I was traveling through North Carolina on my way to Myrtle Beach. I couldn't smoke the night that I arrived so I spent 2 days smelling the tin until I was able to smoke. When I opened the tin I noticed the very strong strawberry smell that came out of the bag. My thoughts were: "My god if this tastes as well as it smells then I'm in heaven". The second thing I noticed was all the juice in the bag. I've never had fumari, but I'm sure this is just as wet or wetter. I also noticed that the tobacco is very red like Al Fahker but a brighter red. So when it came time to setup the bowl, I had to use some paper towels to clean my hands because it really was very juicy. My hand was coated in red juice and I had to make sure to wipe the bowl from the excess juices. The smoke was great. It lasted a long time. It didn't die down with a second round of coals. It didn't get harsh. It probably could have handled a third round of coals. My impression was look and feel of social smoke or starbuzz, smell of a very fruity and earthy Naklah, and taste stronger than Naklah strawberry but not as sweet or candied as Social Smoke strawberry. I will definitely smoke this one again and often. CONS: After a few sessions with this shisha I only have two things that I don't like much. The tobacco is really really juicy so even using a vortex, the juices dripped down to the stem. Not a bad thing and I didn't notice until I was done smoking it. The session went better with a funnel bowl but there was still plenty of juices on the grommet when I was done. The second thing that I didn't like much at all was that because is very wet and sweet, the aftermath on my bowl was a hell of a lot of charred juices caked on all over the ring and the spire, and I still haven't been able to clean it off. I'm sure I'm going to have to take the rough pad of a sponge to try and clean it. NOTE: when I got home from vacation I was able to take a green sponge to it and clean away the charred juiced caked on the bowl.

The King Shisha Watermelon Review

[Brand] - [Flavor]: The King Shisha Watermelon Amount Purchased: Quarter pound (about 112g) How is it Packaged: In a very strong, resealable, branded black bag First Impression Smell: Watermelon bubble gum Shisha Feel: Very wet and juicy, but not too wet that you can’t use the Minzari Crown with it Bowl: Minzari crown AND a funnel for testing Foil: 2 layers of regular foil Hookah: Social Smoke Izmir Hose: Namoor Washable Wind Cover: Social Smoke Tall Type of Coals and Amount: 2 Ecocha coals Clouds: Dragon clouds Buzz: None Flavor: Amazing watermelon flavor, but not too strong. The first few drags is like biting into a watermelon before it mellows out a bit.  Overall Impression: I am now 5 deep into testing the new flavors of The King Brand 2.0* and I have to get serious for a moment. Some might know that I’m a big fan of watermelon no matter what brand I get it from. Sure everybody’s watermelon flavor is very different from one another, but I look at it as a flavor that you just can’t get wrong. To me watermelon is a “safe” flavor, do you know what I mean? Is one of those flavors that you always keep around because when done right is just perfect - this is such a flavor.  Even before I opened the package I told myself that I would be fair, rigorous, and unbiased when tasting this flavor. I was definitely ready to put this one through it’s paces only because I love watermelon so damn much. This flavor was smoked numerous times, using different bowls (Sorry Minzari had to cheat on you for the sake of the review) and with different mixes, and all the trials were successful. With the Minzari I had no trouble using 3 coals, but with the funnel only two pieces and a wind cover treated me lovely. The sacrilege was mixing this flavor with another brand and it was still an amazing results. Yes I will be mixing this one more often with… that other brand because they complimented each other very well.  When you first open the package you a very distinctive watermelon bubble gum smell. There’s no guessing it, the smell is watermelon bubblegum. Such a nice smell but no worries, this was not candy.  The cut of The King Brand Shisha is just like all other flavors I’ve tried so far. nice medium cut that looks like… like wood chips really. It’s wet enough that you will enjoy hours and hours of flavor, but not so wet that you can’t use the Minzari Crown with it. If you were to use a regular Egyptian bowl the juices won’t run down the stem like with other brands.  As with the other The King Shisha flavors, please mind your heat when dealing with this flavor. Although this one is a bit more resilient, you still need only two coals and using three is really pushing it past the burning point.
I was able to enjoy three rounds of coals in my sessions with this flavor. By the fourth round it just didn’t have the same flavor, but that’s a very long time.  The smoke is amazing! You get super dragon clouds as you should with any great brand. They are puffy white clouds which I like.  The flavor is a mild watermelon compared to others but it’s a very distinct real watermelon. When you take your first drag you immediately get hit with that awesome watermelon flavor. Not like processed watermelon, but the REAL fruit. As I took some more puffs I realized that this flavor would be GREAT with Mint. So I did that, I mixed it with The King Shisha Mint and it was really a great soothing combination of flavors.  So if I was forced to give it a numerical rate, what would I rate it?  well, this is just my opinion because for my taste and smoking style, I really couldn’t find anything wrong with this flavor. Trust me I was looking, and I tried really hard but couldn’t find anything wrong. I even smoked it once with my non hookah smoking girlfriend in the room and she loved the smell.  There’s no fuss during the session. You set your coals and forget them. Just smoke and relax and let the flavor take you away.  So numerically I give it a 10. I’m sorry but if you can find something wrong with this flavor I dare you to do your own review and be unbiased. This is saying a lot from me given that their Pineapple is so far my favorite flavor and it only got an 8 rating.  So there you have it, a rigorous and unbiased review.  If you want to get a taste of The King Shisha for your own reviews, you can email them at [email protected] and you can also visit them at wwwTheKingBrand.com      *disclaimer: The King Shisha does NOT use the monicker “2.0”. This is just something I like to call it because I’ve had both iterations of their flavors, and to me calling it 2.0 indicates a drastic improvement.

The King Shisha Strawberry Review

[Brand] - [Flavor]: The King Shisha Strawberry Amount Purchased: Quarter pound (about 112g) How is it Packaged: In a very strong, resealable, branded black bag First Impression Smell: Strawberry fruit Shisha Feel: Wet, juicy but not swimming in molasses Bowl: Minzari crown Foil: None Hookah: Social Smoke Izmir Hose: Mystique Ice Hose Wind Cover: None Type of Coals and Amount: 3 Ecoal coconut coals Clouds: Dragon clouds Buzz: None Flavor: Non-cloying strawberry    Overall Impression: WOW!!!!! Complete 180 change since I first tried them back in January. Two thumbs up from me. I’m done. End of review.  No seriously I’m super impressed with the hard work the guys at The King Brand have done with their recipe. I’m calling it The King Shisha 2.0 and let me just tell you the difference is something to truly admire.  Right off the bat the first thing I noticed when I opened the package is how sweet and potent the strawberry smell was. It was as if I was holding in my hands a fresh pack of strawberries that had just been chopped up. I got super excited.    The dark molasses lake is gone!!! Gone I tell you!. No longer is the shisha swimming in juices which helps the flavor tremendously. This new package I actually had to use a spoon to mix the juices and the shisha. A very refreshing and familiar way to treat your shisha for the initiated and the veteran alike.    The bag the shisha is packaged is super strong with a very strong resealable ziplock that you can feel when the bag is properly sealed.  The first time around I didn’t mix the shisha for the specific purpose that I wanted to be able to use my Minzari crown without having to dry off the juices.  I was able to use 4 rounds of coals and not once did I loose the strawberry flavor. It held on till I was tired of smoking and I was done for the night. If you could have seen my face of happiness… but I digress.    One thing I’ve found out about this brand and I’m not taking any points off for this, is that is very heat sensitive. I learned this the hard way but that’s a review for the next flavor. This is normal from brand to brand, they all react differently to the amount of heat used. With Nakhla and Haze you can set a bonfire on the bowl and it will still smoke like a champ. Social Smoke and other tobaccos only work properly with the coals working remotely from another room. The King Brand falls in the latter category, a little heat will treat you very well.   Two coconut coals will serve you very well, and three will get you a burnt session. When I used 3 coals the first round the taste wasn’t as expected but more plastic-y than anything. Once I realize I was burning the shisha, I took off the coals, let it cool a bit and only used two. PERFECT!. The strawberry taste was there for the next round, and the next, and the next… well you get the idea.    So remember kids, 2 coals and no more.   The only exception to this rule is if you are using a heat management system like the Minzari Crown or the kaloud, then you can very judiciously use 3 coals as you have to take into account heating up the metal of the heat management system. For some reason Pineapple and peach handle heat different and are more heat resilient, but that’s an observation for another review.    Also be patient, it takes a while for this shisha to heat up, but you will be rewarded with great flavor and even greater clouds once you let it heat up.    While we are at it. The shisha is not a choppy cut like modern tobacco, but remember that’s because is not tobacco. This brand is made entirely of fruit ( sugar cane and real fruit chunks) so I wouldn’t expect the shisha not to have the equivalent of a tobacco stem in there. Every now and then you will find an extra long sliver of sugar cane, but nothing to throw a fit about. When I found one that didnt’ fit the bowl I just took it out and continued packing my bowl.    So to The King Shisha 2.0 as I like to call it, I’m giving it a very happy and willingly 9 out of 10 for… well for everything. The juiciness, the flavor, oh that great flavor, for the duration, for the well thought-out packaging, and for the tremendous change the company and the team have done to play a detrimental part in the perfect hookah session.    Why not a rating of 10? well, if I did that then I would just be playing favorites now wouldn’t I?    If you want to get a taste of The King Shisha you can email them at [email protected] to do your own review on The King Brand’s products.    Stay tuned for my reviews on their pineapple watermelon, and peach flavors. I promise you they are going to be as positive as this one.

The King Shisha Pineapple Review

[Brand] - [Flavor]: The King Shisha Pineapple Amount Purchased: Quarter pound (about 112g) How is it Packaged: In a very strong, resealable, branded black bag First Impression Smell: Pineapple candy, stronger than gummy bear Shisha Feel: Very wet and juicy. Wetter than most of the new line Bowl: Minzari crown at first but it’s very juicy so I switched to the funnel Foil: 2 layers of regular foil Hookah: Social Smoke Izmir Hose: Mystique Ice Hose Wind Cover: none needed. This pineapple shisha is very heat sensitive Type of Coals and Amount: 2 Ecocha coals Clouds: Dragon clouds Buzz: None Flavor: Amazing Pineapple fruit but not candied like gummy bear   Overall Impression: So now we are two for two in my newfound love of The King Shisha.  This time I’m trying their pineapple flavor and I can tell you right off the bat that this is the best pineapple flavor I’ve ever tried.  To say that even my non-smoking girlfriend enjoyed the smell of this shisha is an understatement of how fruity and delicious it is. My girlfriend doesn’t like ANY of the flavors I smoke so I usually I have to wait till she goes to bed to enjoy a smoke because all the tobaccos trigger her allergies. This one was fine for her and she even hung out in the living room without any issues. Yeah, The King Shisha 2.0* is THAT good. Now I have a flavor that I can smoke anytime I want without bothering her sinuses. This holds true to all the new flavors I’ve tried so far.  When you first open it it smells very much like candy apple, but once you smoke it you’ll be able to tell that it’s real sweet pineapple flavor.  Now this flavor for some reason is NOT quite the same as the others I’ve tried in the 2.0* series. This one is much, much juicier than the rest but not overwhelmingly so. Yet is juicy enough that you can not use the Minzari Crown with it unless you dry the juice away with paper towels. Well hell, I didn’t want to do that, so I just put the shisha in there with 3 coconut coals (you only need two), and puffing away I went. Well it didn’t take very long for the juices to start dropping onto the coals and having my girlfriend run into the office thinking I was setting the house on fire because there was so much smoke seeping through all the rooms. What did she catch me doing? opening the office window and fanning the smoke away like a madman. So I took the coals off, grabbed the Minzari Crown with a towel and transferred the shisha to my funnel and session saved.  So, to reiterate my last blog post, you only need TWO coals, specially on the pineapple flavor, and with this one it would be best to use either a funnel or vortex type bowl. No wind cover is needed until the last 20 minutes or so, otherwise you will have a burnt session.  So this particular flavor is a bit more finicky than the others. you will definitely have a smokey, burnt session if you are not careful. However once you learn what you like this one will treat you very well with pineapple flavors all the way to 3 or 4 rounds of coals. TWO COALS PER SESSION! NO MORE!.  so if I have to rate it I guess I would give it an 8 only because this one is a bit more finicky than the others and people might get pissed off if they treat it like their regular heat resilient tobaccos. If it wasn’t for that, it would get a solid 10 just because of the flavor alone.  This one is definitely going in my rotation. As soon as I’m done with the rest of the flavors and reviews I’m putting an order for a very large tub of their pineapple.

The King Brand NEW Apple Shisha Review

[Brand] - [Flavor]: The King Shisha Apple Amount Purchased: Quarter pound (about 112g) How is it Packaged: In a very strong, resealable, branded black bag First Impression Smell: Real Granny Smith apple Shisha Feel: Wet and juicy, Might have some issues using a Minzari Crown Bowl: Both the Minzari Crown and a Funnel for testing purposes Foil: 2 layers of regular foil when using the funnel bowl Hookah: Social Smoke Izmir Hose: Mystique Ice Hose without the Ice Tips Wind Cover: Social Smoke tall when using the funnel bowl Type of Coals and Amount: 2 Ecocha coals Clouds: Dragon clouds Buzz: None Flavor: The best apple flavor and smell I’ve ever tried Overall Impression: you know, I start writing a blog post but then I get distracted by another good flavor from The King Brand and I loose track. Not to say that I have A.D.D. but, oh look something shiny.  This should be short and sweet; a rating of 10 all around. Good night folks and have a great week.  What? You want to know everything about it? well aren’t you a needy bunch!.  ok well here’s the review. If you need to know how good of an apple flavor it is, then go to your local grocery store and buy a green, Granny Smith apple and enjoy it because that’s the smell and flavor you will get when you load a bowl of The King Shisha apple flavor.  What? that’s not a review? well damn!. So in all seriousness, go eat a Granny Smith apple and you will know what you will get when you smoke The King Shisha apple flavor. The look and feel of the shisha is the same as all their other flavors, slivers of sugar cane and REAL fruit chunks. Now I’m not an expert but I think that having actual fruit in the shisha helps the flavor of the smoking session.  The shisha is wet enough that I can use my Minzari Crown without any issues, but only I don’t mix the shisha around with a spoon. When I mix it well from the bottom of the bag, the juices are a bit much to handle and it drips on the coals. So just like their pineapple flavor, this shisha is better smoked using a funnel bowl.  So a numeric value would be a perfect 10! This shisha lasts a very long time so as soon as I’m out I will make sure to order more, because honestly I think everybody should have this brand in their rotation.  If you want to get a taste of The King Shisha for your own reviews, you can email them at [email protected] and you can also visit them at wwwTheKingBrand.com

Review of Never Xhale natural Coals

First impressions: The box seems smaller than most boxes of coals i’ve tried of the same amount. I think that’s because coals like coco Jamras, Social Smoke, coco Mazaya and others pack their coals vertically. The Never Xhale coals are packed horizontally. When you first take them out of the box, right away you will notice a huge difference in density compared to other coals. Never Xhale is way lighter than any other coals i’ve tried. I associate the density with how good the smoke will be and how long the session will last, and I was proven correct. I wish I had some other coals to compare them to, but I really ran out of coals and was just down to my emergency stash of quick lights. One thing I noticed is that the top layers of the coals were in “fingers” of 3 cubes that was scored almost all the way through for easy separation. Upon checking the majority of the box, I found that not all of them were like that and most were already separated. Another thing I noticed and found weird is that the bottom of those “fingers” of coals, there was a silver coating kind of of like scratch off paint. (Check the pics). My first thought was that maybe these were coals used in Japanese styled coal with the silver coating on it. The box of 108 pcs of coal came to a little over $10 with the shipping included. Great price for when you are in need of coals and you don’t have extra money to buy the good stuff. For testing purposes I decided to load my Social Smoke Hemi bowl with Nahklah Strawberry because that brand of tobacco is a bit more heat resilient than a lot of other tobacco. This was going to be my first bowl of two. I wanted to test the coals with a wet shisha as well to see how well it handle both types of tobacco. So I loaded my rig, I loaded the coals, and I loaded a movie on my iMac. Then things started to go horribly wrong: When you light these coals there’s hardly any smell at all which is a great thing, and that’s where all the great things end with these coals. First thing I noticed is that the coals are not strong at all, and just two cubes were not enough to enjoy a session where I normally would with any other coal. Second thing I noticed is that the coals didn’t get very hot until about 20 minutes into the session which is very strange. The flavor of the smoke did not get affected by the coals at all, and it was very enjoyable for all of the 25 minutes before the coals started to die down. I figured no big deal, I would just start on round two with three cubes instead of the normal two I use. Same thing happened. Now there was a bit more heat, but it didn’t last as long as I wanted it. At the end of the second round I checked the bowl to find that most of the shisha was still untouched and could be reused, so I loaded another 3 cubes into the burner to finish off that bowl. A couple of things started happening by now, First I noticed the unbelievable amount of ash on the tray, and I started to get a terrible pounding headache. So on round three it was the same thing as the first two rounds. Took a while for the coals to get super hot and it didn’t last as long. I found myself puffing more than normal just to get a decent smoke. by the end of the third round I was out for the count. My headache was pounding so hard that I decided to take a break and let the hookah rest. Now for the best part. Around two in the morning I was in front of the computer now watching a new movie when one of my alarms started going off. My girlfriend half-groggily came out of the bedroom asking what was going on. It was my carbon monoxide alarm going off. At first I thought that maybe it needed to the batteries changed since it had been a while. So I changed the batteries and it was still going off. Then it hit me; there was CO2 rampantly causing havoc in the apartment. Even worse, I realized that the one and only reason the alarm would be going off is because of the new coals I was trying. So my girlfriend and I opened all the windows in the apartment, all six of them, cranked up both air conditioners and stepped outside for 30 minutes and left the door wide open to make sure the apartment was aired out. Just to make sure that it was CO2, I had my super inspect the stove to make sure gas wasn’t leaking. It wasn’t. Conclusion: Stay the hell away from this coal. If you are that broke that you can’t get good coals, then you shouldn’t smoke Hookah that night. Seriously, do yourself a favor and wait until you have enough money to get better coals that are not going to try to kill you. You’ll be safer smoking with quick lights than with a coal that’s going to set off your CO2 alarm. This box of coals went the way all my starbuzz shisha, into the trash.

Review of Al Fakher Natural Coals

First things first. I want to demystify the notion that people think that just because the front of the box reads “Easy Light”, that it automatically makes this coal “Quick Light”. There’s a BIG difference between “Easy Light” and “Quick Light” coal. This Al Fakher coal is a natural coal. it is made “Easy Light” because the cube is actually the size of half a cube. I just wanted to try it, so I only ordered a box of 30 pieces. Didn’t want to get anything too big incase that I didn’t like them. First impressions: Upon opening the box right after I got it, I noticed that the density of these coals is very, very light. Not at all like some of my favorite coals like Social Smoke which is very heavy. I do believe that the density has a lot to do with the actual size of the coal. They are cube shaped, but it’s about half the size of any cube. Side by side comparison with a full sized coal, you can see that it’s just about half the height ( check out the picture I posted). The shape is also NOT consistent from one to the other. There are not two coals alike side by side. some of the corners seem cut longer than others, or one side of the cube shorter than the rest of the cube. A little weird, but not a big concern. Also on some sides it looks very porous with tons of tiny little holes like a strainer, while the other sides are more of a solid flat surface. You can take a look at the pictures I posted to see what I’m talking about. The test: Now it was time to put it to the test. I set up my Social Smoke Izmir Profesional Series hookah with my Hemi bowl loaded with some heat resilient watermelon Nahklah. The coals are small and light so I wanted to put the “Easy Light” to the test. The way I measure most of my coals is like this: I set up my hookah, put the coals in the burner, and go outside to have a cigarette while the coals light. These are definitely “Easy Light’ with the total time of full red glow being seven minutes. In comparison, my other coals usually take about 15 minutes to fully light up. so my coals were ready when I got back into the apartment. Now one thing I do not like about these coals is the smell. No sooner they start to burn that you smell it all throughout the apartment. It smells like wood burning, which is not all that bad I guess, but the smell is strong. Now I personally don’t really care too much about smell, I’m more concerned about the smell bothering my girlfriend, so I had to turn on the exhaust fan in the kitchen just to be safe. Luckily for me, and maybe extra brownie points for the coals, my girlfriend happened to wake up in the middle of the night for one of her bathroom trips, and she didn’t smell a thing. She did like the smell of the Naklah watermelon smoke though and that’s always a plus on my side. Second thing I noticed is that these coals light up super bright red and don’t ash a lot. I usually grab my coals from the burner and blow on it to get rid of the ash. I did not have to do this with these coals. Time to put them on the bowl and enjoy some goodness, and I’m thankful it was all goodness. The coals are super hot and maybe I should have started with just two coals instead of three. I figured that since they are half the size of normal coals, that I might need three but it was not necessary. Now it did not burn my shisha and it didn’t make the smoke harsh, but you can tell when you have very hot coals because the wind cover is not necessary. The session was good, enjoyable, and very tasty. However as hot as the coals were, I only got about 35-40 minutes of flavor before the coals started to die off. ok, I did get these to try them out, so I started round two. Again only about seven minutes to fully light these bad boys. Now on the second round I really should have just used only two coals instead of three because I started to notice a bit of harshness and the bowl was already loosing it’s flavor which is not something that happens a lot with normal coals and Nahklah. I usually start to loose flavor around half way through the second round, not at the beginning. now to be fair, I think is because the coals are super hot and I should have used only two coals like I usually do on round two. So I took the coals off for a minute to let the shisha breath and not burn. I put two coals back on and it was fine for the rest of the session. With the size of these coals my main concern was that I might have experienced the coals crumbling once they started to get smaller or while I was transferring them with the tongues. However that did not happen which I was happy about. My second test went much better than the first. Now that I had some knowledge about how these coals handle, I decided to load my funnel bowl with some Social Smoke Twisted shisha and test the coal with them. Properly using my wind cover I was able to get a longer session out of the heat and was able to enjoy both rounds. The best part was no headaches and no setting off my carbon monoxide alarm. Conclusion: Just like with all hookah sessions, is necessary to be able to know a little about heat management, and I’ve come to learn that each coal needs to be handle differently. For example, coals that burn this hot I use three coals the first round and two coals the second round. Other coals don’t burn as hot so I use three cubes both rounds. Then of course you have to take into consideration the fact that you might or might not need a wind cover for better heat management. With these coals I recommend using the wind cover only about half way through the session when the coals are starting to die down. They are so hot in the beginning that you don’t really need the wind cover to get the session started. I give the Al Fakher coals points for: being “Easy” to light lighting very fast Not producing a lot of ash Not changing the flavor of the shisha No after taste Not crumbling when they get smaller or during transporting Not needing a lot of handling or ashing once they are on the bowl No headaches No setting off my CO2 alarm I take points away for: having an awful smell when lighting them Not lasting as long as most coals So not only do I recommend this brand of coals, I’m actually ordering a larger box because they are affordable, low maintenance, and get the job done.

Nile Tropicana Shisha Review

[brand] - [Flavor]: Nile Tropicana Amount Purchased: 50g How is it Packaged: wrapped in cellophane like Naklah and in a cardboard box First Impression Smell: Very chemical, very artificial and not at all like any fruits of any kind. Honestly it smelled a bit like piss when you unwrap the cellophane. Shisha Feel: Wet but very sticky rather than juicy Bowl: Social Smoke Vortex Foil: Social Smoke Heavy Duty Hookah: Social Smoke Izmir Hose: Social Smoke Pro Lounge Washable Hose Wind Cover: Social Smoke tall wind cover Type of Coals and Amount: 2 Starlights Clouds: A little Weak Buzz: None Flavor: Very artificial and chemical with no taste of any fruits at all. Overall Impression: I picked this one up at the same time that I picked up the Nile Peach and Voodoo flavors. I thought that if it was at least like the peach flavor that it was going to be bearable. That was wishful thinking. The flavor is like smoking plastic or something very artificial. It was not enjoyable and it’s just sitting there in the back of my cupboard waiting to be handed down the sentence that will ship it out to the federal dump. Their peach flavor is bearable, but this one is not. If I have to rate it from 1 to 10 I’ll probably give it a 1.

Nile Peach Shisha Review

[brand] - [Flavor]: Nile Peach Amount Purchased: 50g How is it Packaged: wrapped in cellophane like Naklah, inside a foil like bag and in a cardboard box First Impression Smell: Very chemical and not at all like peach Shisha Feel: Wet but very sticky rather than juicy Bowl: Social Smoke Vortex Foil: Social Smoke Heavy Duty Hookah: Social Smoke Izmir Hose: Deezer washable Wind Cover: Social Smoke tall wind cover Type of Coals and Amount: 2 Starlights Clouds: A little Weak Buzz: None Flavor: Very artificial and chemical with the peach being faint in the exhale Overall Impression: This is another of those hookah tobacco I found during my vacation and was excited to try since I’ve never had it before. Everything about this one was a new experience for me in every aspect of the session. The tobacco has a very large cut unlike more modern tobacco like starbuzz which is very choppy. The feel in the hands is also very weird. It’s wet but more sticky than juicy. The smell and taste is very fake, plastic-y and chemical. There was a faint peach flavor, but only on the exhale. It’s a heat resilient tobacco with somewhat weak clouds. Once the heat got going the flavor was a bit better, but not great. Would I recommend this? Only if there was nothing else to smoke at the moment and this was holding you over until you get your order of the stuff you really like. On a scale of 1 to 10 I’ll give it a 4. I take points away for smell, taste and stickiness. Give it points for heat resiliency, and faint peach flavor in the exhale.

Jewels Strawberry Daiquiri Shisha Review

[brand] - [Flavor]: Kasbah Jewels Strawberry Daiquiri Amount Purchased: 50g How is it Packaged: Large tin can with free mouth tips First Impression Smell: awful, very artificial Shisha Feel: Very sticky as if it was made with very heavy un-liquified molasses Bowl: Social Smoke Funnel Foil: Sahara Vortex Wind Cover: Social Smoke tall wind cover Type of Coals and Amount: 3 starlights Clouds: decent Buzz: None Flavor: very mild strawberry. More chemical/artificial thank fruity Overall Impression: Let’s just start with saying that I really enjoy their Margarita flavored tobacco; It’s really flavorful and it’s one that will always be in my rotation. I wish I could say the same for their Strawberry Daiquiri flavor. The strawberry is very faint and only in the exhale, and the dominant flavor is an artificial platic-y flavor. It’s not sweet, it’s not bitter, and it’s not sour. It’s not a tobacco flavor either, it’s just smoke with a very light hint of strawberry. I had high hopes for this flavor unfortunately it didn’t deliver. I’ve smoked it only once, and it’s just sitting in my shisha cupboard all the way in the back where Starbuzz used to sit before I tossed it in the garbage.

Jewels Peach Shisha Review

[brand] - [Flavor]: Jewels Peach Amount Purchased: 50g How is it Packaged: In a box with a resealable plastic container with the tobacco on one side and 5 free hose tips on the other First Impression Smell: Very light peach candy Shisha Feel: Very sticky as opposed to very juicy Bowl: Social Smoke Funnel Foil: Social Smoke heavy duty Hookah: Social Smoke Izmir Hose: Deezer washable hose Wind Cover: Social Smoke tall wind cover Type of Coals and Amount: 3 starlight coconut coals Clouds: Dragon clouds Buzz: None to light Flavor: Very sweet peach candy Overall Impression: GO GET IT!! GO GET IT!! GO GET IT!! No seriously go get it. Jewels is one of those brands that can be hit or miss when it comes to flavors and in my eyes they have a winner here. Now let's be upfront about the flavor. You don't get a taste of peach fruit, you get a candy flavor like a piece of jolly rancher candy that you can tell is peach. If you are a big fan of the sweet flavors from Fumari and Social Smoke like I am, then you will definitely love this peach.

Jewels Orange Shisha Review

[brand] - [Flavor]: Jewels Orange   Amount Purchased: 50g   How is it Packaged: In a box with a resealable plastic container with the tobacco on one side and 5 free hose tips on the other   First Impression Smell: Very light peach candy   Shisha Feel: Very sticky as opposed to very juicy   Bowl: Social Smoke Funnel   Foil: Social Smoke heavy duty   Hookah: Social Smoke Izmir   Hose: Deezer washable   Wind Cover: Social Smoke tall wind cover   Type of Coals and Amount: 3 starlight coconut coals   Clouds: Dragon clouds   Buzz: None to light   Flavor: Very accurate orange flavor   Overall Impression: The smell before you open the bag is actually very nice and citrus-y. However as with all jewels tobacco, the smell is not as pleasant once the bag is open, but smoking it is another story altogether. It’s an orange flavor, I haven’t had many orange flavor shisha to compare it to, and the ones I’ve had I hated, but this one is good. Really good. it also mixes well with other flavors. If you can get past the actual smell of the tobacco, I think you will enjoy this flavor.

Jewels Margarita Shisha Review

[brand] - [Flavor]: Kasbah Jewels Margarita Amount Purchased: 50g How is it Packaged: Large tin can with free mouth tips First Impression Smell: awful, like damp butt Shisha Feel: Wet like a modern tobacco but more sticky than juicy Bowl: Social Smoke Funnel Foil: Social Smoke heavy duty Wind Cover: Social Smoke tall wind cover Type of Coals and Amount: 3 starlights Clouds: decent Buzz: mild to none Flavor: tasted like a real Margarita drink that you get at the bar Overall Impression: I didn’t know what to make of this brand given that I had never heard of it and didn’t know anybody that had it before. My vacation to Myrtle Beach was definitely an adventure because the only hookah tobacco I found was not even remotely close to popular with the exception of Al Fakher. I’m an adventurous soul so I’ll try anything at least once.
I was fooled by the size of the tin can because it looked like a 250G tin but in reality it was a 50g re-sealable single bag and about 5 free mouth tips for your hose. Nice touch Jewels.
Now the smell in the can was, honestly, awful. My first thought was: “oh my god I’m going to have to throw this out”. after preparing the bowl with coals it wasn’t getting any better. The smell radiating from the warming bowl was just not pleasant at all. It wasn’t a chemical smell, nor a fruity smell, it was just a… a stench, a bad stench that permeated through the apartment even the next morning when my girlfriend woke up and asked me what the hell was I smoking the night before. I braced myself and inhaled the first pull and everything changed. The flavor is amazing!. it just really tastes like a margarita drink that you get at the bar. There was definitely a hint of sweetness citrus to the pull from lemons or lime, but not overwhelming. Not only that but the flavor lasted through a second round of coals.

The clouds are very decent but not something you would get from smoking some of the more modern tobaccos where you would get dragon clouds.
Now this particular flavor is very heat sensitive, so you will have to finagle with your wind cover and coals in order not to burn it. If you manage that, then the flavor will definitely treat you very well. If I had to rate this brand on a 10 point scale, I will give it a solid 7. I’m taking one point away from the awful smell in the bag, one point for the awful smell while is burning in the bowl, and one for the not so huge clouds. It gets double points for taste, affordability, and ingenious packaging with the free mouth tips. I recommend it for the taste, but not for the smell.
