That flavor was really good. Only had it once but solid as per usual from trifecta

After tangiers, I'd say trifecta has the best black leaf tobacco on the market. I tried giving alchemist a chance since I really love black bear but trifecta has been proven itself consistent across the board even with flavors I didn't really care for like tko (chocolate hazelnut sounds good on paper but meh I prefer chocolate mint better).

Its a toss up which one I like more. I'd say trifecta is more of a whenever smoke since tangiers still buzzes me every time I smoke it. When stout first released it was so good but as soon as the 100g packages released it dropped in quality. My most recent one was literally soup and put fumari to shame. It was unsmokeable by all means of the word. Supposedly it was a country export issue that wasn't intended for the retail market like a custom order thing and they are sending me more but I'm not holding my breath on getting a replacement.

TKO was really nice man. I'm more of a chocolate mint guy as well but that flavor was anything but disappointing.

Yeah I feel you on the tangiers being a once in a while smoke. And with the high humidity in nyc, it's not always smokeable. But in terms of quality, I think tangiers is the gold standard for black leaf.

I hope the alchemist issue was just a temporary thing as well, I really liked the first few batches I received but their regular line really disappointed me lately as well - especially the peppermint mocha. It tasted nothing like the first batch I had.

TKO didn't disappoint me at all its just out of all the flavors I've tried so far from trifecta it was my least favorite. Apple pie still takes the cake for me as of now lol. If you haven't tried it yet I highly recommend it.

We will see where alchemist goes. I respect them for going worldwide within their first year but hate them for dropping in quality so damn fast. Depending on the new flavors they are releasing (not sure on dates) I'll either drop them completely or cautiously retry my favorites stout flavors. The original has only ever been mediocre to me so I don't buy it.

That's how I am with pulp friction and bdh. Both were good but I won't buy them ever again when there is the twist and enigma. Apple pie is on my list man you praise it so much lol

Well I don't want to praise it too much just in case I overhype it and you find it underwhelming. Lol.

Minthead, I know you love Nak DA so I highly suggest you try AF Bahraini 2 apple. Currently trying it out for the first time. Not to be confused with AF golden Bahraini apple or AF golden double apple. It's the typical AF red dye, with more of a Nak cut, not as fine as typical AF, and much juicier. I'd say this Def gives Nak DA s run for its money.

Smoking AF guava and SS mint!  This session had an... um... interesting start... I'm not sure how it got in there, but during the first pull I ended up with a large (and extremely alive) bug in my mouth.    Not cool.

Heck yeah, Lule trays make my life better!!

About to start a Fumari:  Tangelo sesh because Dude won't shut up about Fumari...  I can't blame the chap, he likes what he likes, and there's nothin' nobody can do about it.  Well, 'cept maybe smoke some Fumari and imagine how miserably hot he is down there in Vegas... snerk snerk.  Just bustin' your chops, there brutha!!

Alien, Lotus, Tangelo, Ice in base, sili hose, platymanja (my only hookah with lule trays, two of 'em).  Coco Lava's (because I was dumb and bought a 96 box to 'test them out.'  WTF was I thinking????)

Oh, also bought a minivan.  So I'm going to smoke in there because I can.  This 'my name is Earl' show got me doin' all kinds of white trash things... It's great!!!

hail hookah, homeys!!

Hookahjunkie has them so cheap I may just get two. Tray porn is an understatement. They are so beautiful.

As far as fumari goes not everything is a winner but when they hit something well it's an addiction for me. I'll always have love for them since it was my first real lounge and quality taste experience. Plus like you said it's too damn hot and the flavors really go well in the heat for ny palate.

I know two big coco lava fanboys this is the first bad thing I've heard. What's wrong with them?

Primarily it's the stank when lighting them up.  Plus the snow white ash makes me wonder about filler.  I prefer Titaniums and Ecocha, and neither of those stink up my house when I fire them up... So whatever it is, I just don't care for that... My friends get headaches from them as well, because the only thing I change on their bowls is the coals, and lately it's been Coco lava's, and lately they've been getting headaches...  Sooo there's that...

I don't get headaches, though, and because the ones I have are cubes, it's totally turned me into a cubed kinda guy.   At first I loved them, but the smell is just off-putting, and raises questions I'd rather not have raised, ya know?

Not trying to knock 'em per se, just in my opinion (which may or may not be worth an entire 0.02) they are not my go-to.

That's how cocourth are going now. No headache inducing stigmas but overall enough smell to get me off of them for a few weeks. Not the worst smell but man is it bad compared to last year at their release. Sad part is they are still the best out there in my opinion.

Good to know though I will not try those. I hate smelling a coconut campfire in my kitchen

Well since I have the 60 packs of 16pc sample boxes from Hj he still had on the site, it's really interesting to see how different a lot of these packs are, some are fantastic, nice brown ash like coconaras still produce, I only know that because my friend uses them since they sell em at my local shop, really good heat, hardly any smell, generously large size, like when you get flats that look almost like a big cube, but then you get some batches with white ash, kinda random heat, a bit smelly, really fucked up pieces that look like someone took an ice pick to them, sometimes they break, and they will vary from sample pack to sample pack, I doubt I could go back to coconara because the heat is so random and heavy, those coals like to spark and crack whilst on the bowl. I had one of the older batches of cocourth that weren't some of their best from what I heard, they were solid but I just don't like coals that put off that much heat, just doesn't fit in well with how I prepare my sessions and its very difficult for me to manage, ecocha were really good, really clean tasting IMO (well no taste) just higher heat, I'd buy them again if I didn't want titanium's, I HATED charcoflare and CHX coals, I know some are fans of charcoflare but I thought they made my session taste like it had quick lights on it, and gave me a headache. It was awful, my pallet is pretty sensitive so if there's any flavor in a coal I'll notice, for me, titanium's and ecocha have been the best in that specific department, ecocha being even better but I just like the lower heat. Sorry for the coal rant guys but I felt like throwing my 2 cents in the conversation lmao, at any rate I've been smoking some Kashmir cherry with bits of my last AF mint I could scrape up, wasn't bad at all, made heat management a bit easier too. I tend to have a bit of trouble with birquq. K cherry won't be something I'd pick up again, quite a weak flavor, can barely even taste the Kashmir in it at all too and that's really a bummer, I'm so excited for my k peach to come in, great stuff and I haven't had it in a few months. 500gs ftw. I've been smoking some of my AF grapefruit too, prefer it with mint but still awesome and sharp, Mt orange went bad for a second time in a row because the container was crap and I was too late on the repack. Gonna be careful with AF these days onward. Gotta have that AF orange fix man, funny enough I prefer orange straight over the mint mix instead of the usual. The orange really pops out more. Suck great tobacco I swear, and all this talk on orange and mango makes me wanna try for an order of those and have that mix again, straight grapefruit and orange is fantastic too.

I wish I had more than 10 likes a day!!  I whole-heartedly agree with you, Mint Head, Titaniums and Ecocha have just been the best that I have had so far... Tried Fumari charcoals, tried coconaras (10 years ago coconara and new stuff coconara), tried fantasia, coco mazaya, half a dozen quick lights (back a decade ago when I was just getting started and didn't know better, besides, some of my favorite incenses burn on quick lights for outdoor use), had a few different exoticas, and at least one or two others... Never tried the lemonwood charcoals because of the trees...  But Titaniums are fully explained by Hookah John, fully backed by Hookah John, and even for a smaller hookah business, to stake your name on a brand of charcoals is pretty brazen, so I scrutinized the hell outta them, and they meet up to my snobbish standards.  I also love Ecocha, because of the high heat, and it's from Borneo, and I have a piercing from Borneo (not gotten in Borneo, not that cool!), and two of my favorite pythons are outta Borneo... Plus, Borneo is home to the world's largest rainforest responsible for a significant slice of pie in the pie chart of clean air for the entire planet, and so I support that, because I do like to breathe, not only tasty vapors from my hookah, but clean, fresh air as well....

Continuing the charcoal rant because it's worth noting that a bad charcoal will ruin even the finest of shishas.  It's unfortunate that some people don't put enough thought into it either, because it is one of the most unhealthy aspects of hookah, and by keeping it real (coconut only, no filler, trace heavy metals, hardwoods, etc.) we are taking the best care of ourselves, and our planet.  Fillers are for suckers, so only get the good stuff!!!

...Yeah... I feel better about this...

Now for:  Al Waha Bahraini molasses (which is a blend of honey and molasses to my knowledge).  Very tasty.  My ignorant friends call it 'opium hoor house' because that's all they can think of when they smell it.  I'm glad I have a more vivid imagination than that!!!

I will be (not) rocking Coco Lava's because I don't wanna waste 'em, smoking outside, using my black and blue 80feet bowl with foil.  Al Waha, being a traditional moassel takes the heat nice, so I will start with 3x cubes and lower it ta two as it needs it. Also, as it's the 80feet bowl, I may go two rounds because I've been smoking Tangier's Peach Iced Tea with my A.O.T. bowl and that sucker takes three rounds of coals  to cook the juices outta that tabacky so I'm getting more used to smoking at least a couple of rounds...

Carpe Diem hookah homeys :3

Nice! You may not like clove but it'll grow on you quick

I don't know when I'm gonna sit down and try clove, but I had the guava with a tad of cane mint thrown on top with my friend, first time trying guava mind you, I thought it was great, I really love the original noir line, I smoke nakhla double apple so often that noir feels so familiar to me, its texture and consistency is a way similar than let's say birquq, birquq always gives me problems, wish me luck since I grabbed k peach in that line. Also I find it funny that even though I don't pack Tangier's like a hockey puck, I just put enough in there and smooth it around a bit lightly, it'll still go for 2 rounds of coal out of the Tangier's small phunnel with 3 coals per set, where any other tobacco is burnt out by the time that first round is over, really makes the price point of Tangier's seem worth it, I doubt I use more grams in the pack since it's way less dense, hence why it always looks like there's more tobacco in its packaging than other brands. So I don't know what's up with that, but I ain't complaining, nakhla packed like a hockey puck in this bowl will completely burn out after that first round so this tobacco just might be that high caliber. But that could just all be bro science and there's something I might not get, anyways rant over, enjoying a nice bowl of guajava in the alien and lotus. Finally got some really tight sealing containers too so that's cool

Accidentally woke up at 4am () and had a couple hours to kill before work, so I'm starting the day with AF Grapefruit Mint and copious amounts of coffee.  My AF Mango and SS Citrus Peach should be here after work today... I'm stoked!

Finally someone packs Tangiers that way. I thought I was all alone. I seriously just pack it a touch and I do mean a slight touch over semi dense like any other tobacco. Still lasts 2 rounds and the cloud production is just insane. I'm sick of seeing "Tangiers dense" and "not nearly as dense as Tangiers" online and in videos.

Every single tobacco needs to breathe even jurak, black style molassel, and especially Tangiers. They're ruining the session by doing it as dense as a brick or hockey puck.

I struggled with Tangier's for as long as I did because of this spread of misinformation, when literally the only thing you need to know is to apply the same fundamentals and flex into your hole poking and heat styles, I've gotten the best results when I let it breath. And I don't mean pack it super tight and poke holes through the tobacco, I just put enough in there to fill the bowl, gently smooth it around so its even, if theres an empty spot I gently add a bit more. Consider this, I've read on Eric's forum once where he said he doesn't understand why people in the states have so much trouble with his tobacco, when all he gets from people in the middle east who try it is praise, they seem to love the tobacco and never came to him for help packing it. Hockey puck packs have given me nothing but trouble
